R. Tyler Pearson, CFP® brings a thoughtful, relationship-driven approach to financial planning, shaped by life experience and a commitment to serving others. A Kennewick native, Tyler’s early work ranged from monitoring mosquito populations across Benton County to braving the waters of Southeast Alaska as a commercial fisherman. Those jobs taught him that meaningful work requires grit, humility, and responsibility. These values continue to guide his approach with clients today.

After earning his degree in economics from Washington State University, Tyler pursued the Certified Financial Planner™ designation to strengthen his technical expertise and uphold the highest standard of fiduciary care. At HFG, he serves as a trusted member of our advisory staff, specializing in retirement and estate planning. He is also a dedicated part of HFG Trust’s 401(k) team, partnering with business owners and plan participants in employer-sponsored retirement plans. With a focus on simplifying complex life decisions, Tyler helps clients make long-term financial choices with clarity and confidence.

What drew Tyler to HFG wasn’t just the work, but the culture. Culture built on trust, stewardship, and a genuine belief that clients deserve a caring partner working in their best interest. His greatest reward is building lasting relationships with the individuals, families, and businesses he serves. Knowing they have a clear plan, dedicated team, and fiduciary advisor in their corner.

Outside the office, Tyler is committed to community service. He serves as a board member for the Kiwanis Club of Kennewick and the Kennewick Kid’s Fund. In his spare time, Tyler enjoys golf, hunting, and spending time with his wife, Maleah, and their two dogs, Milo and Digby.
